Infinitive verbs An infinitive verb in English looks like this: TO SING TO before the verb makes it infinitive In French, the marker is the last two letters. The most common one is ER
In english You take off TO, when the verb is matched to a subject in a sentence: To sing We sing along!
In French Also REMOVE ER WHAT REMAINS IS THE STEM, the stem is the part that doesnt change.
Example AIMER = TO LIKE/LOVE REMOVE THE ER THE STEM IS AIM
Now to match the verb to the subject… You ADD an ending to the stem.
