 9 affixes with numbers (1-9) are written on a grid.  11 words (a-k) are given to match with those 9 affixes.  The teams have 20 seconds to read those 11 words.  The teams take turns to form new words by choosing & matching words with the chosen affixes.  The 1 st team uses ‘X’ & the 2 nd team uses ‘O’.  You must say the number and read aloud the whole new word, e.g. (1b) sharply  You have to say ‘Pass’ if you cannot form a new word.  You have to read 1 fiction & 1 non-fiction text respectively.  You have 4 minutes to read the texts.  The MC will ask 15 questions in 2 minutes. Questions will be shown on the screen.  You have to press the light button before you answer any questions.  You cannot press the light button until the MC has finished reading the question. You cannot answer the question if you break this rule.  Give your answers only after the your school name is called.  You need to give the answer (e.g. a, b, c or d) in 10 seconds. If not, 10 marks will be deducted.  If there is more than 1 answer, team leader should make the final decision.  No corrections from other teams can be made.
