3. Today’s Learning Goals We will review the link between fractions, decimals, and percents by playing the Four in a Row Game. We will review equivalent fraction ideas.

4. Four in a Row Game This game requires two players. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Player A puts a paper clip on a number in the number list. Player A does not cover a square on the grid because only one number has been marked; it takes two numbers to make a fraction. Today, we are going to play Four in a Row.

6. Four in a Row Game Player A moves either one of the paper clips to another number and then tries to make a fraction that is equivalent to a number in the grid. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 What fraction should Player A make? Great…3/9! Is there anything equivalent to 3/9 in the grid? Yes…

7. Four in a Row Game Each player, in turn, moves a paper clip and marks a fraction. across, or diagonally. The winner is the first person who gets four in a row up or down, If a fraction is already marked or is not equivalent to anything in the grid, the player does not get a mark for that turn.
