Rationale

Problem: Explosion of technology Learner: Coaches & Players Society: BAKETBALL as a whole Subject Matter: Team Management, Play Diagramming, Game Analysis & Editing, Player Development, and Recruiting Educational Goals: Competitive Edge

Learning Framework This five day coaches clinic will be sequenced according to the learning related sequencing framework. Within each day, however, will be a more specific scheme.

Team Management

Objectives: Understand how technologies can enhance their teaching, professional work and communication, and personal professional development. Identify resources to assist in learning how to integrate technologies in the future. Develop and support plans to integrate technology for administrative purposes. Evaluate, select and utilize hardware, software and web-based resources to increase administrative productivity and support the integration of technology.

Play Diagramming

Objectives Understand how to more effectively collect, organize, and distribute plays/drills utilizing emerging technologies. Provide players with alternative methods of learning plays through various means of instructional technology. Communicate information in different formats for diverse learners.

Game Analysis and Editing

Objectives Identify task requirements, apply search strategies, and use current technology to efficiently acquire, analyze, and evaluate a variety of statistics. Use technology-related terms, concepts, data, input strategies, and ethical practices to make informed decisions of game strategies. Use task-appropriate tools to synthesize knowledge, create and modify solutions, and evaluate results in a way that supports the program goals.
