ACT How do I sign up? Online! Create account – (Save info) Choose location Iowa City Muscatine West Branch Upload a Picture PRINT TICKET & TAKE it on testing day!

ACT How much does it cost? $36.50 non-writing option plus writing Fee Waiver if on free/reduced lunch or experiencing financial hardship See Counseling office for code you can enter online.

ACT Do I take the writing test? Check with colleges you are interested in to see if they require it!

ACT How do I prepare? ACT prep DAY OF Get lots of rest! Eat breakfast. Things to bring: Ticket Photo ID Calculator Pencils

RAI (Regent’s Admission Index) Regents- University of Iowa, Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa Admissions- The process of applying and being accepted into a college Index- Formula made up of 4 parts ACT score GPA Class Rank Number of Core Classes

RAI (2 x ACT composite score) + (1 x high school rank percentile) + (20 x high school grade-point average) + (5 x number of high school courses completed in the core subject areas) = ScoreACT composite scorehigh school rankhigh school grade-point averagecore subject areas

RAI To be admitted you need a 245 Exceptions? There tend to me more scholarships available from the colleges when you get your number closer to 300

What does this mean for me? Take CORE classes Math, Science, Social Studies, English & Spanish Electives in these areas count as a half Sign up for ACT, take and retake! Do well in classes
