7 SAT Scores & College Admission:
Colleges use the a-g requirements, your GPA and your SAT or ACT scores to make admissions decisions Every college has different requirements but, in general, the higher your SAT score, the lower the GPA that is required for admission Most colleges (including all CSU campuses) have an “eligibility index” available online that shows you what SAT score you need to have, based on your GPA, to meet the minimum eligibility requirement

8 Determining Your CSU Eligibility Index
The eligibility index is a combination of high school GPA and SAT/ACT The CSU Eligibility index is calculated with the formula: The minimum eligibility index for Fresno State in Fall 2018 = 3200 EXAMPLE: Does a student with a 2.7 UC/CSU GPA and a 890 SAT score meet the minimum eligibility index for Fresno State? (2.7 GPA x 800)+ 890 = 3050 Not Yet
