8:00-8:30: Student Drop Off Duty – Side door beside kitchen 8:30-9:15: Redstreak Reading Club – 2 nd Grade Enrichment- [This is my first day with the 2 nd Grade Enrichment group. I will go over the rules, what I expect from them, and where they will keep their things stored in my classroom.] What is Community Service? Discuss the topic with the whole group, ask the kids for examples and create a KWL chart on the smart board. Next, have the students go to their individual computers and find the section on the right hand side of the screen that says= 2 nd Grade Enrichment- Have them click and read the Wikipedia link titled= Community Service. Come back together as a group and add information to the Learn section of the KWL chart… (food drive) 9:15-9:30: Planning 9:30- 10:15: Mrs. Wolford– Have students open Microsoft Word. Have them create a Christmas List and print. Collect and give to homeroom teacher. 10:15-11:10: Mrs. Salisbury- Have students open Microsoft Word. Have them create a Christmas List and print. Collect and give to homeroom teacher. 11:10-11:55: Mrs. Mrs. Shepherd– Have students use Microsoft Word to write a letter to Santa. The letter must be in a “Friendly Letter” format and include at least two or more of their spelling words. Print and Collect. This is NOT your wish list. It is just a friendly letter to say… ??? Use your imagination! – Under Educational Project open- Dear Santa- Type, Print and Collect 2:00-2:30- K+Kids: Independent reading on his/her level. Kids should bring an AR book in with them.
