JCCAC Community Arts Promotion Scheme Scheme Details To support Community Arts Projects: welcome arts promotion projects catered to the needs and interests of their respective communities (not confined to Shamshuipo district), in particular activities that give prominence to the arts and culture unique to their communities

JCCAC Community Arts Promotion Scheme Scheme Details To support not more than 4 Projects: The proposed project, which contains a particular theme, is expected to include an exhibition as its core activity and a variety of activities, such as performances, guided tour, workshops, street parades and family programs organized under the same theme. The exhibition must be held primarily over a period of 3 to 4 weeks at the L0 or L1 Gallery of JCCAC. The activities may be presented in various form of arts

JCCAC Community Arts Promotion Scheme Scheme Details Encourage Partnership: The Scheme welcomes applications from organization applicants who may invite schools and artists to devise the proposed activities. Moreover, it is highly encouraged that current JCCAC tenants to take part in the Scheme in the role of either project participants or joint partners

JCCAC Community Arts Promotion Scheme Scheme Details To facilitate wider public participation, the organization applicant may choose to hold the exhibition during the following time periods: June-July 2010 December 2010 to January 2011 February to March 2011 April to May 2011 June to July 2011

JCCAC Community Arts Promotion Scheme Target audiences and Subsidy Target audiences: may include, but not limited to, teachers and students from local schools, community residents and youth. Two of the supported projects preferably targeted at students Subsidy: each successful project will be granted a sum of not more than HK$350,000 (rental fee of exhibition venue is waived)

JCCAC Community Arts Promotion Scheme Assessment Criteria - Effectiveness in raising awareness of and participation in the arts among residents of local communities - Sustainability and positive impacts on the communities, and the number of beneficiaries - Ability to address the unique characters of the communities, as well as the backgrounds, interests and needs of the target audiences - Quality of project positioning, promotion and publicity strategies - The level of artistry and innovation of the proposed project - Skills and capabilities of the applicant to organize community-based art and cultural activities - Involvement of the JCCAC tenants

JCCAC Community Arts Promotion Scheme Venue Support Paid Venue : L7-19 Function room 1,038 sp.ft. HKD500 per day Roof Top - Area 1: 2,681 sq.ft.HKD400 per day - Area 2: 1,320 sq.ft.HKD300 per day Should the project be held at the above paid venue, please enter the estimated expenses in the financial plan for consideration and approval

Venue Support The following technical services and venue equipments are included in this Scheme: Multi-Media projection – One projector unit will be provided for each Gallery; additional unit is $300/day Lighting services (1 time) – Please reserve at least 2 hours for focusing lights for each Gallery Sound service for exhibition opening ceremony (within 4 hours) - Including 1 technician and providing maximum 4 wireless microphones, $150 per each additional hour - Additional sound service is $600 / every 4 hours Simple sound system – Including 1 wire microphone and 1 speaker, operated by hirer Under normal circumstances, sale commission of products or merchandise sold inside the gallery could be waived JCCAC Community Arts Promotion Scheme

Venue Support Gallery Artisan or technician to assist set up or dismantle, charge at $ 480/ every 4 hours. No special cleaning or security services will be provided. If such services are required, please include the budget estimation in the proposal for assessment. For those proposed activities which will be held in central courtyard or communal spaces, please include the budget estimation of equipment rental and technical services charge in the proposal for assessment. Publicity Support JCCAC will provide the following support on publicity for grantees: : - JCCAC Website - Programme Guide - Both printed copy and e-version - Banner Location - Hanging of banners on designated location will be supported, subject to the availability of the space (Information of the programme should be provided by grantees)
