A travel to Tromsø to visit folklorist Hauan Marit Anne and Prof. Ola Graff, Tromsø Museum, a representative of Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra and Kjetil Skogli, a master in Aurora Borealis’ photography for a multimedia project “Northern Lights: folklore, science and video in music constellations”. Why? Quality, new cooperation, Nordic- Baltic relevance, innovative approach

8 mobility programme network funding SHORT-TERM NETWORK FUNDING 1 YEAR max. amount 20 000 EUR (max. total 70%) LONG-TERM NETWORK FUNDING3 YEARS max. amount 100 000 EUR (max. total 50%)

9 Partners from at least 3 countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, Faroe Islands, Åland) Co-operation with non-Nordic-Baltic countries can complement Co-operate, develop partnerships, learn from each other, build new networks

11 PROJECT EXAMPLE – NETWORK FUNDING ”Moa Sahlin striking a Moving Mary Poppins Moment” “The Writing Movement Network” Who? Association of Choreographers (LV) What? The network brings together dance writers from 5 countries - Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia and Sweden. Emerging from keðja project´s Writing Movement activities a smaller reflection group is created to continue looking into the issues of outside and inside, local and multicultural, big and small scenes through seeing and understanding dance in the Baltic Nordic region.

12 mobility programme artist residencies SUPPORT FOR ARTIST RESIDENCIES up to 3 years THE SELECTION IS DETERMINED BY THE CENTRES COVERS ARTIST EXPENSES

13 Residencies receive the support …and choose the visiting artists Residency can invite individual artists or small groups / ensembles 2-4 Nordic and Baltic artists per year Accommodation for about two months

HIAP Helsinki What? Artists and/or curators are selected and encouraged to utilize their stay for reflection on prior processes or research and development of new projects Why? High artistic ambition, room for experimental approaches, skill development, HIAP can expand and strenghten the artist’s international network

The International Street Art and World Music Festival RE RE RIGA! introduced various interdisciplinary artistic manifestations and new interpretations of circus forms from the Nordic countries on the Nordic Stage. Why? Encouraging new forms of art, creativity, interdisciplinary approach, new ideas and initiatives, establishing Nordic partnerships
