EVENTS IN 1969 Jan 10 - George leaves the Beatles. Jan 18 - `Yellow Submarine' 1st week in the Top 30, entering the ranking (Billboard). Jan 30 - The Beatles give their final public performance on the rooftop of the Apple offices on Savile Row. They play nine songs in forty two minutes, including repeats of three songs. Mar 12 - McCartney marries Eastman at the Marylebone Registry Office Mar20 - Lennon marries Ono in Gibraltar Apr 11 - "Get Back" / "Don't Let Me Down" released

EVENTS IS 1969 May30 - "The Ballad of John and Yoko" / "Old Brown Shoe" released. Aug 28- Mary McCartney is born in London to Paul and Linda McCartney. Sep 13 - After last minute arrangements, the Plastic Ono Band performs at the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival. This version of the band includes Lennon, Ono, Eric Clapton, Klaus Voormann, and Alan White.The performance is recorded and later released as Live Peace in Toronto Sep 20 - In a meeting to sign a new recording contract negotiated by Allen Klein, Lennon tells McCartney and Starr (Harrison was not present) that he is leaving the Beatles.
