Dictatorship was an option:  To free Bosnian Serbs who were represented by Bosnian Muslims ( Scapegoat)  Ultra nationalism  Racism (Bosnian Muslims)

Rejection of Liberalism:  Pre dictatorship: soviet communism  No prior history of liberalism to revert to

Timeline into power  January Joins league of Commission of Kosovo  Father commits suicide  1964 Graduates from Belgrade  Yugoslavia starts “market Economy”  1972 Mother commits sucide  1984 Serves on Krajer Commission on Yugoslav economy.

 1990 New Serbian Constitution  1991 Montenegrin Leadership gets overthrown by Milosovic influenced mob  1991 Solvenia leaves Yugoslavia  1991 Kosovar Albanians declare independence but goes unrecognized by international countries.  1991 Bosnians vote to create Serb regions in Bosnia.  1992 Serb ethnic cleansing begin in Drina river in Bosnia.  1992 Bosnia is recognized as independent state.  1998 Wins presidency of Serbia for final time  2000 out voted in federal election

Life During Reign  1 million Bosnian Muslims were forced from their homes  Bosnian Muslim concentration camps  Civilians raped, tortured, starved and murdered  Snipers in buildings in Sarajevo shooting civilians in the streets  Ethnic cleansing or Bosnian Muslims by Serbians and Bosnian Serbs  Largest massacre on European soil since WWII  1 million Bosnian Muslims were forced from their homes  Bosnian Muslim concentration camps  Civilians raped, tortured, starved and murdered  Snipers in buildings in Sarajevo shooting civilians in the streets  Ethnic cleansing or Bosnian Muslims by Serbians and Bosnian Serbs  Largest massacre on European soil since WWII

Fall of power  NATO bombing of Belgrade (capital of Serbia)  Protesting Milosevic’s Rule  Vojislav Kostunica won the majority of votes (2000 federal election for the democratic party)  Serbs refused to vote in the election due to unfair and the election favored Albanians

Post Dictatorship  There is still problems with the country the Serbs and Albanians still do not get along  NATO has been in the state since 2004  2006 it has been broken into 6 different countries  The state is better off now, quality of life is better, more peaceful
