Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) amount of alcohol in your system based on a test of your breath, blood or urine. Illegal to drive if your BAC is.08 percent or greater You can be convicted if your driving ability is impaired.

Other Drugs prescription and nonprescription drugs impair safe driving It is illegal to operate a motor vehicle on Illinois highways with any trace of a controlled drug, substance, cannabis (marijuana) or intoxicating compounds in your blood.

DUI Laws If convicted of DUI a violent crime will permanently remain on your driving record Implied Consent Law: automatically consent to submit to certain tests Statutory Summary Suspension Law: arrested for BAC.08 or more = suspended for 3-6 months.
