National EBS Association NEBSA.org The National EBS Association’s (NEBSA’s) “Vision” Is to bridge the “Present” to the “Future” by providing mission critical information and resources for the creation, delivery, installation, implementation and maintenance of Educational Broadband Services (EBS).

National EBS Association NEBSA.org NEBSA.org was created in 2007 to coincide with the change of the name of this association from the National ITFS Association (NIA), to the National EBS Association (NEBSA). This change is a direct result of rulings made by the FCC in 2005 which changed the nomenclature of the spectrum used for Instructional Television Fixed Services (ITFS) to Educational Broadband Services (EBS).

It is this Rule making which led to the revision of the FCC Rules, the realignment of the EBS spectrum to facilitate two-way digital wireless broadband services, and the FCC’s change of name for the spectrum from ITFS to EBS (Educational Broadband Service)

National EBS Association NEBSA Goals & Objectives NEBSA will continue to be the leading advocate for use of the spectrum set aside for education by the FCC, to represent the interests of EBS licensees at the FCC, and to provide an expanded forum for exchange of information and advice on the new technologies, new educational applications, and commercial relationships.

The Association employs FCC Counsel in Washington, D.C., maintains the NEBSA list servers which it makes available to all with EBS interests and conducts an Annual Conference and Meeting in which experts in the fields of FCC Rules, education, and technologies provide attendees with the most current information and developments in their fields.

National EBS Association 2015 Annual Convention February 23 rd – 26 th, 2015 In February 2015, the National EBS Association (NEBSA) will hold their and annual meeting and convention at the Bahia Resort Hotel, in San Diego, CA to promote the use of our spectrum for education and to provide EBS managers with the relevant, expert and current information that's needed to serve and protect the interests of EBS licensees.
