Spanish: El hermano de mi padre es mi tío. Direct translation: The brother of my father is my uncle.

Los Adjectivos Posesivos -show ownership or relationship between people In English: Possessive adjectives (my, your, his, her, our, their) They do not change forms, regardless of whether they modify singular or plural nouns. The distinction between his, her, and their tells whether something belongs to a male or female, or to more than one person. In Spanish: Possessive adjectives (mi, mis, tu, tus, su, sus, nuestro/a, nuestros/as, vuestro/a, vuestros/as) The same word is used to mean his and her (su) and their (sus). The context usually makes the meaning clear. The root of a possessive adjective refers to the owner, the ending must agree in number and in gender with the noun that comes after it. mi / mis = my tu / tus = your su / sus = his, her, their nuestro/a, nuestros/as = our vuestro/a, vuestros/as = your Examples: English: my dad, my parents, your mom, your uncles, their sisters, our cousins, our brother, his grandpa, her grandma Spanish: mi padre, mis padres, tu madre, tus tíos, sus hermanas, nuestros primos, nuestro hermano, su abuelo, su abuela
