2. What are they?
Possessive adjectives express ownership of things and people.
Por ejemplo:
Es mi dinero. (It’s my money.)
Ellos son sus maestros.
(Those are his teachers.)

3. Connecting with Prior Knowledge:
Like other Spanish adjectives, possessive adjectives always agree in GENDER and sometimes NUMBER with the noun they describe.
Ejemplo: las chicas bonitas
la mujer bonita

4. Unlike other Spanish adjectives, however, possessive adjectives go directly before the noun they describe.
Es mi gata. (It’s my cat.)
Son mis gatas. (They are my cats.)

13. When discussing your family you may also want to use indefinite articles.
Por ejemplo:

AVOID saying, “Tengo el hermano.”
