Glass By Ellen Hopkins A PowerPoint Book Report by Patricia Walchuk September 26, 2008

These boxing gloves represent the plot of Glass. Kristina is constantly fighting a battle with drugs, and throughout the book it gets harder and harder for her to fight, because she becomes more and more addicted. Not only do they represent the plot, they also represent Kristina’s character. Throughout the book, Kristina shows that she is a very hardworking person, and will fight for what she wants. She wanted a date with Trey, and she got it. She wanted custody of her child, and she got it.

This heart represents the love that circles the book. There are all different types of love in this book, Kristina’s love for Trey, her boyfriend, her love for her baby, and most of all.. Her love for drugs.

This shattered heart represents some of the events that happened in the book. Kristina lost custody of her baby Hunter, she was kicked out of her parents house because they didn’t want a crack addict living with them. Kristina broke up with Trey in the book, and that also affected her life in many ways.

The picture of the drinks represents all the parties Kristina goes to. The more parties she goes to, the more addicted to the drugs she gets. This picture of the lights represents Kristina’s life. It is very care free, but in the end, from all the partying Kristina crashes. The lights represents also the craziness of Kristina’s life.

The picture of the fire represents Kristina’s life once she crashes because of her drugs. It is very hectic and she doesn’t like the fact that she is addicted and can’t do anything about it.

The handcuffs represent the end of the book, when Kristina and Trey were caught because of drugs and they were sent to jail.
