AVANTE HYBRID Battery Dismantling Manual

Precautions for handling the hybrid battery Battery dismantling procedure Turning off the engine Disconnecting the 12V battery terminal Disconnecting the safety plug and connectors Dismantling the hybrid battery Discharging the hybrid battery Wear rubber-insulated gloves. Use insulated tools. Do not have any metal objects in your possession while working. Do not cause any impact on the battery. Do not disassemble the battery without specific equipment. Be sure to discharge the battery to store and transport it safely.

Disconnection of the 12V battery terminal Caution Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery first. If the positive terminal is disconnected first, there is a possibility of electric shock. Disconnect the negative terminal. Unfasten a nut.Negative terminal of the 12V battery 12 3

Remove the rear seat back. Remove the rear seat cushion.Rear seat Removal of the rear seat Unfasten 2 bolts.

Turning off the safety switch Turn off the safety switch. Remove the safety cover. Safety switch in the ‘ON’ position After turning off the switch, wait 5 minutes for the electric discharge. Safety coverUnfasten a bolt and a nut

Disconnection of battery connectors (1) Connector / Terminals Disconnect the connector and terminals. Battery mounting frame / Front battery case 1 2 3

Caution Orange colored cables carry high current. Be cautious when working with electric terminals. Disconnection of battery connectors (2) Remove the frame and battery front case(LH). Unfasten 3 nuts.Unfasten 10 bolts. Nuts for fastening the battery case Unfasten nuts and disconnect terminals.High voltage terminals

Removal of trunk trims (1) Open the trunk. Loosen the fasteners.Remove the luggage center trim. Luggage center trim

Removal of trunk trims (2) Luggage side trim(RH) Remove the luggage side trim(RH).Complete removing trunk trims. Remove the luggage side trim(LH)

Detach the inlet cooling duct.Detach the outlet cooling duct. Unfasten 5 nuts.Outlet cooling duct / Inlet cooling duct Removal of cooling ducts

Dismantling the battery Take the battery out of the trunk. Finish dismantling the battery. Unfasten 3 bolts. Battery case Handle Dismantle the battery Caution Be cautious about transportation because a battery weighs about 35kg. Do not cause any impact on the battery.
