Make sure the dial is set to OFF before plugging in the cord, to the pan or the wall outlet.

Before you turn on the pan, make sure you are mise en place – ready to go with all ingredients prepped.
The skillet should NOT be turned on if you are not ready to use it – SAFETY HAZZARD!!!

Once you turn the skillet on, the light will go on. When it reaches temperature, it will go out.
