SCREENING ESMF IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS First step of the environmental and social management procedure. Each scheme during its preparation stage will be screened with respect to environmental and social

 For each scheme with E2 category, The Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) was prepared according to the World Bank Policy Guidelines; environmental and social laws; and policies of Government of Punjab (GoPb).  There were 22 no. of schemes for which ESMPs were prepared and categorized as E-2. All ESMPs were enclosed in bidding documents.  For E-3 schemes, there were 101 schemes having negligible impacts.

 ESMP’s of 22 of schemes have been approved by DG, EPA

During the scheme implementation, the suggested mitigation measures in the ESMP were implemented. For effective implementation, consecutive monitoring was conducted Lab. Analysis were carried out from EPD certified Laboratory.
