What do you think I’m going to try to teach you in 30 minutes or less?  Write your answers here.

CLE  Recognize how visual and sound techniques or design (e.g., special effects, camera angles, music) carry or influence messages in various media.

Just the written word…  The power of sound has a huge influence on how you can get people to buy your product. Whether you’re marketing online, or on television in a commercial, using sound can have the power to encourage customers to listen to what you have to say and make a buy. This rings true for online video if you use it on your sales pages. According to TIME Magazine, the most influential sound you can use in an advertisement is a baby laughing. Second? That would be liquid pouring into a glass/cup, etc.  Find out why below:  I’ll be honest, I would have never guessed these two sounds would have an effect on potential customers. Funny how they mention in the video about trademarking those sounds. Imagine the goldmine you’d have if you could nail down those two distinct sounds and use them to your advantage? It just proves how suggestive the power of sound can truly be as opposed to traditional text.
