 Describe participants  Describe recruitment methods including incentives  Describe measures/instruments/apparatus used in the research  Describe the procedures used to collect the data  Include a plan for data analysis

 Present data for tests of each hypothesis  All variables included in the Method section should be represented somewhere in the analyses  Present data in tables or figures

 Should summarize findings  Should go beyond summary and interpret findings With reference to previous literature and findings How do their findings confirm, expand, contradict previous research? Should consider potential limitations to interpretation due to design flaws, procedure flaws, sampling biases or other important concerns

Should make suggestions for future research in the topic area Should draw conclusions about practical applications where appropriate Should not overstate, misrepresent, or overlook the study findings.

 The workshop discussion guide will lead you through a reflection on each section of the journal article.  Your group will be assigned one section to work on during the workshop hour.  Each component of the article will have been discussed by at least one member of your classroom group.  Get together with your classroom group and work through the workshop discussion guide together
