Florida Reports Menu Agenda: Test History State Performance Reports At Risk Leading Indicator College Readiness School Status Report L25 Test History Breakdown

Accessing Assessment Data Teachers and administrators need access to student assessment data to make decision on how to enhance and differentiate instructional strategies to improve student performance. Focus School Software makes this information readily available. Analysis of student achievement data requires time and collaboration; accessing the data should not. In Focus this can be done through Test History and Performance Reports

Test History Educational Challenge Educators need to be able to access student test history data – all test data in one screen. The Focus School Software solution Selecting Test History from the Assessment menu allows the user to review an individual student’s test history. The test history tests will display with the administration date and other data. Clicking on the grade arrow will open the test administration and display the test parts and scores for the student

Test History Tests Educational Challenge Educators need to see all administrations, with results for a given assessment The Focus School Software solution Selecting Test History Report from the Assessment menu allows the user to select a Test and see all students/administrations of this test The test history report can be filtered to show most recent or highest scores and also can be filtered by any displaying column

State Performance Reports Educational Challenge Teachers and Staff need instant access to longitudinal data to identify patterns and trends to make education decisions. The Focus School Software solution Focus School Software provides the State Performance Report The teacher selects State Performance Report from the Performance Menu and is then able to select the Test name, test subject and specific test part. Administrators access the same report from the Assessment Menu

State Performance Reports The report will display the test, score types selected and three years of testing data. If chosen, the teacher/viewer can view learning gains from year to year. Scores outlines with a box mean the student is near the cut off for the next level The data can be sorted by any column and can also be exported to Excel, Open Office or any spreadsheet application.

State Performance Reports Hovering over the Near Cutoff will provide a chart of cut scores by grade level

At Risk Report Educational Challenge Teachers and Staff need instant access to longitudinal data to identify patterns and trends to make education decisions for the At Risk student population. The Focus School Software solution Focus School Software provides the At Risk Students Report The teacher selects At Risk Students Report from the Performance Menu and is then able to select the Test name, test subject and specific test part. Focus displays the State Performance Report for only the students the state defines as At Risk. Florida currently defines this population as students scoring level 1 or 2 on both the Reading and Math FCAT.

Leading Indicator Report Educational Challenge Teachers need instant access to leading assessment data to make informed decisions about academic progress during the current school year. The Focus School Software solution Focus School Software provides the Leading Indicator Report The teacher selects Leading Indicator Report from the Performance Menu and is then able to select the Test name, test subject and specific test part. The user can also select a past assessment test for comparison data.

Leading Indicator Report The report will display the test score for the current school year assessment results. The historic test score will be displayed in the rightmost column. The data can be sorted by any column and can also be exported to Excel, Open Office or any spreadsheet application.

College Readiness Educational Challenge Teachers need instant access to college-readiness data to make informed decisions about academic progress while administrators need access to this information for placement in advanced coursework. The Focus School Software solution Focus School Software provides the College Readiness Report The teacher selects College Readiness Report from the Performance Menu and is then able to select any combination of SAT, ACT, or PERT. The report will return the highest score recorded for Math and also for Reading for each test selected.

School Status Report Educational Challenge The school-based leadership team needs to be able to review the percentage of students that demonstrated proficiency or learning gains on the most recent administration of the state assessment test The Focus School Software solution Focus School Software provides the School Status Report The school-level user selects School Status Report from the Assessment Menu.

School Status Report The view by teacher report’s percentages of students demonstrating proficiency that were in the teachers core subject area the school year the test was administered. For example: the state assessment for reading status report for the school year would be generated using the spring 2014 state assessment score and the teacher’s student population from the school year in the course subject area of reading or ELA.

School Status Report Data for one year is beneficial to review but trends over time may show a better picture of the learning process. The School Status Report can be run over a 3 year period by checking the Three Year Report check box

L25 Report Educational Challenge Teachers and Staff need instant access to longitudinal data to identify patterns and trends to make education decisions as well as leading assessment data to make informed decisions about academic progress during the current school year for students considered in the Lowest 25 percent of the student population. The Focus School Software solution Focus School Software provides the L25 Report This report is generated looking at most recent State Performance scores, by grade level, and identifying the score at the 25% point. All students with scores at or below this mark, by grade level, are included in the L25 report.

Test History Breakdown Educational Challenge The school-based leadership team needs a global view of the school’s progress. Year to year comparisons of student performance needs to be accessible. The Focus School Software solution Focus School Software provides the Test History Breakdown The school-level user selects Test History Breakdown from the Assessment Menu. Three years of data, displayed by percentage for each available level for the selected test.
