The Overseas Adventure

Once upon a time a girl, named Melissa went on a holiday with her parents to New Zealand. She was very excited about the plane flight and seeing the beautiful mountains.

When Melissa got to New Zealand, her mum took her shopping. Melissa starting looking at all the toys and when she turned around she couldn’t see her mum. She started to cry and called out ‘mum! Mum!’.

But then she thought about it and thought about it. She then decided that it was not such a bad idea being lost in a shopping centre. She said ‘I am a big girl now and I can look after myself!’

Melissa then went shopping but each time she went to a shop no one would help her…….

She cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried!

She then felt someone grab her from behind and lift her up. When she looked she saw that it was her mum. She was so happy. Her mum said to her ‘Oh Melissa, I have been so worried’. Melissa said ‘I had an adventure but now I want to go home.’
