2. Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Goldilocks. She went for a walk in the forest. Pretty soon, she came upon a house. She knocked and, when no one answered, she walked right in. ‘Oh it’s very dark in here’ she said and she turned on the lights.

3. At the table in the kitchen, there were three bowls of porridge. Goldilocks was hungry. She tasted the porridge from one of the bowls. "This porridge is too cold!" she exclaimed. So, she turned on the oven and put it in

Goldilocks sat in the first chair to rest her feet. ‘Oh it’s very cold in here’ she said and turned the heat on to the highest setting Goldilocks was very tired by this time, so she went upstairs to the bedroom. She switched all the lights on. She decided then to have a bath before going to sleep.

6. She went to the bathroom, turned the thermostat on and let the water running. Later, after having a long bath she saw that her clothes were dirty so she put them in the washing machine and turned it on. Now, she was really tired; she lay down in the first bed, and fell asleep. As she was sleeping, the three bears came home.

8. "Someone's been turning all lights on” shouted the Papa Bear “Someone's been letting the bath water running and the thermostat on" exclaimed the Mama bear. "Someone's been leaving the oven on" said the Baby bear. "Someone's been using the washing machine" cried the Papa bear.

9. They decided to look around some more and when they got upstairs to the bedroom, Papa bear growled, "Someone's been sleeping in my bed," Just then, Goldilocks woke up and saw the three bears. "Hello!" she said. The three bears looked at her angrily.

10. ‘Little girl you turned all the lights of the house on. You should turn off lights when you are not using them’ cried the Papa Bear ‘Little girl when the heat is on, set the thermostat to the lowest temperature that still keeps you comfortable’ said Mama Bear

11. ‘ Little girl it takes energy to heat water, so you can save energy and water by taking shorter showers or half-full baths’ said the Baby bear ‘Little girl the oven and other appliances use electrical energy, so be sure to turn them off when you are finished using them’ said the Mama Bear

12. ‘Little girl it takes energy to heat water for washing clothes, so make sure your clothes are really dirty before putting them into the hamper’ cried the Papa Bear Goldilocks now felt really ashamed. She had no idea that she did so much harm to the Bears’ house and to the environment.

13. She ran down the stairs, opened the door and ran away into the forest. She never returned to the home of the three bears but she always followed their pieces of advice; how to use energy more efficiently. And she shared these tips with her family and friends. THE END
