5 Example 2: Mary was excited because she was planning her wedding. Yesterday she went shopping and bought a new, beautiful dress for her wedding. After she found the new dress, she went home overjoyed because the dress was beautiful and she could stop searching for a dress. context! 6 Example 3: Mary was depressed because last week her friend died. Today, Mary went shopping for a new black dress for the funeral. After she bought the dress she went home because she was crying and depressed. Why she is shopping When she went shopping Why she went home. context!

7 We must use ‘context’ when signing! Examples 2 + 3 No context: We don’t understand the meaning, Example 1 Context: We understand the meaning. Both examples have different meanings.
