Open House & Report Cards Sunday - November 23, 2014 12:30 - 4:00 pm 1st Quarter Report Cards Will be distributed on Tuesday – Nov. 18, 2014 * Report Cards must be signed and returned within three school days.

Remediation Plan A Remediation Plan is developed in a meeting between a student and his/her guidance counselor to address failing grade averages at the end of each quarter. This plan generally includes: Use agenda daily Keep up with assignments Make up any missed or failed work Cycle reports Stay after school with teacher Go for tutoring

Homework Club Homework Club: Students don’t need to register for tutoring. Mondays–Thursdays 3:00 to 4:00 pm (Library) There is a Math, English, and Science teacher available for tutoring and/or assistance during this time.

Sophomore Promotion Requirements * Sophomores must pass English and Geometry * Sophomores must pass their CVTE (Shop) * Sophomores must complete Career Cruising Requirements for the year * Sophomores must complete their Vocational Career Portfolio Requirements for the year * Sophomores cannot fail more than six credits in order to promote to junior year

Class of 2017 – Minimum Graduation Credit Requirements Graduation Requirements Class of 2017 – Minimum Graduation Credit Requirements English 16 Math 10 History 8 Science Related From Junior & Senior year only: 10 (5/6 courses) Minimum Total Credits 128 (includes CVTE requirement) * Additional information on promotional requirements can be found on page 20 and 21 of the Student handbook.

College Readiness Minimum high school graduation requirements do not necessarily meet all college admission requirements, therefore, it is very important that students pass every single course if they are planning to go to college. * College admission requirements may vary by school.

MCAS MCAS Dates “2015” ELA – March 24th, 25th, and 26st Math – May 12th and 13th Science – June 1st and 2nd Minimum MCAS scores needed to obtain high school diploma: ELA & MATH : 220 (+EPP Plan if does not meet the 240 proficiency level) Science: 220

MCAS John and Abigail Adams Scholarship The scholarship covers the tuition portion of the yearly cost at most MA state colleges and universities. To continue receiving this scholarship the student must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on all college work. As of the class of 2017 students are eligible for the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship if they score: - at the Advanced performance level in one of the three subject areas - at least Proficient in the other two remaining areas - and they must have a combined score of the three tests in the top 25% of students in the graduating class in their district.
