5 Honors Academic Plan Additional Requirements for Academic Honors Plan All the same requirements at the Advanced Academic Plan, with 8 semesters of Honors and/or AP Courses Honors and AP courses are offered in mathematics, social studies, science, and English.

7 Testing Information PLAN, PSAT, SAT, and ACT

8 PLAN Taken Sophomore year It is a comprehensive guidance resource that helps students measure their current academic development, explore career/training options, and make plans for the remaining years of high school and post-graduation years. Gives students exposure to ACT

9 PSAT Taken Junior year Is a preliminary SAT test providing practice for future testing Those who achieve high scores are recognized and may be eligible for scholarships Given at ECA every October to Juniors

10 ACT and SAT The two major college entrance exams Important not only for admissions requirements, but also for consideration for many scholarships as well as athletic eligibility May be taken more than once with only the highest score considered Take each test at least one time, more if possible Various test dates and locations throughout the year register online at www.actstudent.org or www.collegeboard.comwww.actstudent.org www.collegeboard.com

19 Dual Enrollment The counseling website lists information on Dual Enrollment through CCU. The information includes course numbers, add drop information, etc… Most (if not all) credits should transfer. Check with your college to make sure Cost is $200 a class

20 Scholarships Thousands of scholarships available We receive some here at school- posted on bulletin board in the hallway Due throughout the year Many websites Colleges offer their own scholarships in different areas
