USE : Use the Simple Past to express the idea that an action started and finished at a specific time in the past.

Past of verb to be. PRONOUN VERB I WAS YOU WE WERE THEY HE SHE WAS IT

I am at home. I was at home.

She is a doctor She was a doctor

They are students They were students

Past tense verbs are divided in two types: REGULAR VERBS IRREGULAR VERBS

REGULAR VERBS Add –ed to the verbs Play – played Look – looked Cook – cooked Work – Worked Dance – danced Watch – watched

IRREGULAR VERBS Change the verbs completely Be – was/ were Do – did Eat – ate Go – went See – saw Drink – drank Get up – got up
