The Spring Festival the Chinese lunar New Year Date: the 1st day of the 1st lunar month Special food: jiaozi, babaofan, and niangao ( “year cake”) Brief introduction: The Spring Festival, the Chinese lunar New Year, is celebrated according to the lunar calendar. Generally speaking, all the members of a family gather round a table to have a lot of food and drinks while watching TV. It’s said that Zongzi were originally dropped into to river where Qu Yuan died to protect him from being eaten by the fish. The National Day 返回 Date: October 1st Brief introduction: October 1st is the National Day of People's Republic of China. There will be various celebrations throughout the whole country on that day, such as the National Day Evening Performance,the National Day fireworks show, the National Day parade and the National Flag raising ceremony. 返回 Back
