Introduction Introduce the topic There are many different ways to be sure students have the correct understanding of the material being taught.

How is this paper set up? Introduction Explain why ALL THREE topics are important Describe feedback and how/why you may need to make adjustments to instructions Conclusion

What is this paper really about? How do you monitor students? How do you give students feedback? How do you adjust lessons when needed? Hint: C4 can take place before, during and after. (D1 will be more after the lesson is taught)

Why is it so important to monitor, provide feedback, and adjust lessons? A teacher can tell if a student is understanding the content or material Artifact Idea: Checking a student’s work After monitoring, a teacher provides feedback to ensure them with progress or assist with help When teachers monitor and provide feedback they can use info to adjust their lessons as needed

How do you provide feedback? A variety of ways and it helps to keep students on track Specific verbal comments or remarks made to individuals and/or groups Feedback can be nonverbal Feedback can come from others, activities, self-checking materials, etc…

Conclusion This is a critical part to becoming a great teacher!
