Electronic Devices Cell phones and other electronic devices such as iPODS, MP3 players and personal computers are best left at home in elementary school. This will ensure that they don’t get lost or stolen. If these devices are brought to school, they are subject to the TCDSBs Acceptable Use Policy—A.29. If a personal electronic device (PED) is being used without a teacher(s) permission and/or it is being used inappropriately or at an inappropriate time (e.g. recess, on the school bus), the teacher(s) will send the student(s) to the office where the principal will confiscate and securely store the device until the matter is appropriately addressed with parents.
