La 2^A e la 2^B continuano il loro cammino verso l’educazione ambientale.

Endangered species. The lives of many species are endangered by hunting, habitat loss and pollution. About 7,700 animal species are in danger of extinction: hippos, rhinos and gorillas live in Africa; tigers, pandas and leopards live in Asia. When animals are private of their home, food and natural defenses it is impossible for them to escape the risk of extinction. Only human beings can help to rebuild habitats and create safe areas for reproduction.

Protect all wild animals. Even if they are not endangered today, they could be tomorrow! Don’t remove eggs from bird’s nests! Provide food, water and shelter for local wild animals! Join wildlife organization working to protect animals!

Recycling. Send less rubbish to the landfill and you help save natural resources, like trees! Separate rubbish! Recycle at home and at school! Find out where your nearest bottle banks, can banks, wastepaper containers are. Use them! Avoid plastic. It’s difficult to recycle! Use recycled paper!

Alternative energy Save water and electricity, The sun is a great source of light and heat. Solar panels on the roofs of the houses can heat the building and give us hot water too. Use solar products, like pocket calculators, whenever possible! The wind is another source of clean energy. We can have wind generators in windy places like sea coasts and tops of hills and mountains. Another type of clean energy is hydroelectric power. We can get this energy from fast rivers and lakes too.

Load-free petrol Use the car as little as possible! Walk or cycle! Fewer cars mean fewer gases in the atmosphere and less pollution.

Cross the road at pedestrian crossings! Wait for the green light before crossing! Don’t ride your bike on the pavement! Wear a helmet when you ride your bicycle! Don’t use your mobile when you ride your bicycle! Wear a seat belt in the front of the car!
