Recap-Developing Self-Awareness  Leadership is the ability to get individuals to work together for the common good and the best possible results, while at the same time letting them know they did it themselves. — John Wooden  John’s motivation was: Teacher and Coach  Motivation- a passion to work for reasons that go beyond money or status. A propensity to pursue goals with energy and persistence. (EI definition)  What is your motivation to lead?  Intrinsic motivation -refers to the reason why we perform certain activities for inherent satisfaction or pleasure; you might say performing one of these activities in reinforcing in-and- of itself. (Inner rudder-Passion)  Extrinsic motivation-refers to our tendency to perform activities for known external rewards, whether they be tangible (e.g., money) or psychological (e.g., praise) in nature. (Reward and Recognition)  Answering the question not only helps answer this for your own awareness but also answers it for how others see you as well!!

Intrinsic Influence Dynamic Self Intrinsic Motivation- the drive that comes from within an individual rather than from any external or outside rewards. Team Influence - the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something, or the effect itself. – Your sphere of Influence ”Who do you impact” Entire Organization Dynamic- a force that stimulates change or progress within a system or process. – Organizational values and sustainability “Grow yourself, Grow others”
