How do I decide on which course ? Know YOUR LEVELS – what GCSE and Btec grades are you likely to get ? EVERY GRADE COUNTS Once you have applied to College, you will be interviewed – a chance to ask questions eg; what happens if I do not get a C in English or Maths ? Remember – your qualification should lead to employment. Are there jobs available in that sector ?

Apprenticeships You will need to find an employer; there are some vacancies on the Wiltshire College website or go to Monthly database on school website Students Futures Apprenticeships Apprenticeships have 3 levels, Intermediate, Advanced and Higher. Advanced or level 3 apprenticeships require you to have level 2 qualifications – grade C or above at GCSE or a merit in Btecs + grade C in English and Maths You will need to take a functional skills test for many Intermediate apprenticeships. Some will require a C in Maths and English Polly Wiggins will support you through the process. THOSE INTERESTED IN APPRENTICESHIPS WILL BE INVITED TO WORKSHOPS IN TERMS 3 and 4 TRAINEESHIPS are unpaid. Both work experience and training, for approx 6 months. May lead to apprenticeship
