Mobile and fixed hosts are accessed via IP address rather than ITSI address Multiple hosts can share the same PDCH simultaneously. Contention is managed by the PDP air interface protocol. Large IP packets are split into AL (Advanced Link) segments for transmission on air interface. TETRA PDP defines a dedicated control channel (PDCH) for transporting packet data
