6 Physical description l Scalable solution available in multiple variants according to the number of radio channels required l 19” rack mountable units equipped with plug-in radio boards with minimum capacity of 4 radio channels per box: l 2HU chassis: up to 12 radio channels l 3HU chassis: up to 20 radio channels l Radio boards with 4 radio interfaces per board – analogue or digital l VoIP processor card with different configurations in terms of number of voice channels: 4-8-16-32-64 VoIP channels l 48 Vdc or 230 Vac power supply capabilities 2 HU 3 HU

8 Main features l Individual private call, half duplex l Full duplex on private calls for TETRA l Group call, half duplex l Group monitoring (sequential scanning), half duplex l Emergency incoming group call, half duplex l PTT sent/receive to/from the IP network through SIP info messages l Receive (Rx), Transmit (Tx), PTT and SQUELCH detection l Monitor for each radio station

9 Configuration tools l Local and remote configuration available l OAM application – Operation, Administration and Maintenance software which can be accessed via Ethernet or serial RS232 interface l SSH – to edit configuration text files l Secured access for administration and configuration – password protected l Several access levels defined for administrator, user with corresponding rights l SNMP monitoring l Telnet configuration

10 OAM application l Allows add/remove radio boards in the equipment – analogue or digital – TETRA and TETRAPOL l Define active channels for analogue radio stations l Defining time intervals for scanning radio channels l Defining time intervals for locking radio channels l Allows defining groups of radio stations - when activity is detected on a channel belonging to a group of channels - the application will not transmit on any other channel which belongs to the same group

11 Reports and statistics l Detailed reports and statistics related to the calls passed through the radio gateway equipment l Status monitoring for ports – open, available, in alarm, invalid position l Status monitoring for cards – installed card, open line, in alarm position l Several parameters related to calls details such as IP source, destination ports, start and end time of the calls, call duration l Alarms available in case of hardware and software errors

12 112 Emergency System l TOPEX IP Radio Gateway integrated in Romanian 112 Emergency System l Interconnection with Ericsson Coordcom entity l The communication between Ericsson Coordcom and TETRA radio stations is made through TOPEX Radio Gateway solution l TOPEX Radio Gateway configuration is loaded into Coordcom solution via SIP OPTIONS messages l TETRA services like private calls, group calls and monitoring are implemented via standard SIP sessions l Each radio gateway has an unique ID defined in the commanding system
