ISO to VDX example ISO Copy request sent to VDX Lending Library Delivery Method = Electronic Delivery VDX Lender attaches doc to request. Actions Shipped Shipped-ind received by Borrowing system. Borrower request status Shipped. VDX s attachment and GEDI header to Borrower system Borrowing system reads GEDI header? Borrowing system attaches doc to request. If unable to read GEDI, attachment and GEDI forwarded to ?

VDX to ISO example VDX Copy request sent to ISO Library. Delivery Method = Electronic Delivery ISO Lender attaches doc to request? Actions Shipped? Shipped-ind received by VDX Borrowing system. The Location update script has been developed by OCLC for VDX systems. Location update - how is it handled in different systems? What are the issues if any? VDX Satellite site Update script checks for changes to locations belonging to this installation Sends any changes to LADD/Te Puna gateway LADD/Te Puna gateway processes incoming changes from satellites LADD/Te Puna gateway sends out changes for LADD/Te Puna and satellite systems to ISO system administrators ISO systems process s automatically (VDX) or manually

VDX System VDX request does not get to gateway, we can resend the request. Gets to gateway but not moved on? Can’t be resent from gateway or original system. Create New request in VDX Exchanging requests between different systems – when a request is not received by the gateway, what will happen to your system? Can the request be re- submitted? Does the library have to create a new request?
