Skills: Working as an individual and a pair. Effective communication to order your ideas in order of importance You will be able to give a definition for the word empire. You will complete a map showing the countries Britain controlled and label the good Britain got from that country. Colour-code the different reasons why Britain gained an Empire and arrange them in order of importance.

An Empire is a large collection of countries all ruled by one single country – e.g. Britain, making that country very powerful.

The British turned out to be the best Empire builders in History.

Social is Something to do with the government and power over a country. Controlling the people. Being seen as strong. Economic is Something to do with the armed forces of a country. Religious is Something to do with money. Military is Something to do with beliefs e.g. about god and worshipping. 3 minutes
