Practice Quizzes In the lab we will do practice quizzes every week to test our vocabulary and grammar knowledge. They are PRACTICE QUIZZES. So you can try them more than once, but they must be done in class. Average out of 100 X.05 = 5

Speaking Activities On Thursdays we will have partner and group speaking activities. Excellent (5) – Using target grammar, reactions, and extra language. Good (4) – Using target grammar and giving reactions. Satisfactory (3) – Using target grammar. Needs Improvement (1-2) – Little to no participation. Mostly speaking in Arabic.

Independent Study Skills Excellent (5) – Going to the ILC, Speaking Center, and/or the Tutorial Center on a weekly basis, AND being prepared in class and completing homework. Good (4) – Going to the ILC, SC, and/or TC almost every week, and completing homework. Satisfactory (3) Going to the ILC, SC, and/or TC several times a semester, and doing homework most of the time. Needs Improvement (1-2) – Not going to ILC, SC or TC, and not always completing homework.

Organization Skills Excellent (5) – Keeping all handouts given in an organized file. Keeping a daily notebook in class with dates. Good (4) – Keeping almost all handouts in an organized file. Keeping an almost daily notebook in class with dates. Satisfactory (3) – Keeping a somewhat organized file and notebook. Needs Improvement (0-2) – Having a file or notebook with hardly any important papers or information, or having no file or notebook.
