W EEKLY HOUR L IMITATIONS O UTSIDE THE P LAYING S EASON - F OOTBALL Outside the playing season during the academic year: Only weight training, conditioning and review of game film are permissible. Eight hours per week. No more than two hours of game film. Bylaw

W EEKLY HOUR L IMITATIONS O UTSIDE THE P LAYING S EASON – S PORTS OTHER THAN FOOTBALL Following the regular season or conclusion of the nonchampionship segment: No out-of-season activities permissible until the conclusion of the Division II or national collegiate championship. Eight hours per week. No more than two hours per week of skill instruction. No team activities permitted. Will UCs schedule allow its team to be selected for the Division II Womens Soccer Championship? No, the selection criteria requires a minimum of 10 in- region contests. UC only played eight in-region contests.

Yes, provided no more than 50 percent of the players on the junior varsity team play in more than 50 percent of the varsity teams games. Bylaw 20 – Minimum requirements for sport sponsorship Selection Criteria – Minimum of four contests with at least 14 participants. No double duals count towards the minimums. P ROPOSAL N O – S IZE OF C ONFERENCES New Conferences: Size for application: minimum10 active institutions and/or institutions in the provisional period of the Division II membership. Size to become an active conference: at least 10 active institutions. Effective August 1, 2013, for a conference applying for Division II conference membership on or after August 1, Active Conferences: Minimum eight active institutions by August 1, Minimum 10 active institutions by August 1, 2022.

P ROPOSAL N O – C ONFERENCE P RIVILEGES AND A UTOMATIC Q UALIFICATION Timetable for automatic qualification: Increase from two years to five years the waiting period for a new conference to become eligible for automatic qualification. Effective August 1, 2013, for a conference applying for Division II conference membership on or after August 1, 2013.

P ROPOSAL N O – C ONFERENCE P RIVILEGES AND A UTOMATIC Q UALIFICATION Conference privileges – grace period: Create a three-year grace period during which a conference may continue to qualify for privileges following the date of withdrawal of the institution(s) that causes the conferences membership to fall below the minimum number of institutions required for active membership. Effective immediately.

P ROPOSAL N O – C ONFERENCE P RIVILEGES AND A UTOMATIC Q UALIFICATION Championship participation – automatic qualification: At least 50 percent of the championship field in regional tournaments shall be reserved for at-large teams. Effective August 1, 2012.

P ROPOSAL N O – P ROCESS FOR C ONFERENCES Annual limit on conference membership: NCAA Division II Management Council may establish an annual limit on the number of athletic conferences applying to become a Division II conference that will be invited to active membership. Effective immediately.

P ROPOSAL N O – P ROCESS FOR C ONFERENCES Invitation to active membership: Before the NCAA Division II Membership Committee can invite an institution into active Division II membership, a Division II conference (or a conference applying for Division II membership) must have taken action to allow such institution to join as a full member. Effective August 1, 2012, for an institution entering the Division II membership process on or after September 1, 2012.
