Introduction to BDC Risk Mitigation Services Butterfield Development Consultants 2010 The role of the Cost Consultant, is to advise lenders on the adequacy of budgets, initially and throughout construction. BDC’s mission is to continually improve the process, reducing the risk and challenges facing lenders.

Risk Mitigation Services At the budget review stage, each budget component will be analysed in terms of it’s risk. Recommendations will be made to reduce this risk and quantify potential increases. Throughout the monitoring period components will be re-assessed and re-quantified. Reports will be prepared at each stage clearly identifying components at greater potential risk and actions being taken.
