District Technology Training Plan for Queen Anne’s County Public Schools Presented by: Sarah Eber Queen Anne’s County Board of Education Summer 2013

Our County 1. Increasingly purchasing new technology 2. SMART Boards in all but three schools 3. Multiple computer labs, new computers 4. Document cameras, iPods, iPads, netbooks, Flip Cameras, etc.

The Needs

The Wants 1. SMART Board 2. SMART Notebook 3. Google Docs 4. Google Calendar 5. iPad Training 6. Creating a Classroom Website 7. Edmodo 8. Flip Cameras 9. Microsoft Office 10. QACPS Drives (personal and shared)

Goals of the District Technology Training Plan 1. Effectively use SMART Boards and SMART notebook to integrate interactive lessons into the classroom. 2. Use Google Docs and Google Calendar to successfully manage files and dates. 3. Integrate iPads into their lessons to enhance student achievement. 4. Create and maintain a classroom website. 5. Incorporate social media tools, such as Edmodo, into the classroom and lessons. 6. Use Microsoft Office beyond Word and PowerPoint to enhance lessons. 7. Navigate and use QACPS network drives for file management. 8. Incorporate video devices, such as Flip Cameras, into their lessons.
