Warm Up #63 1. What do you remember about the Vietnam War? 2. How is it connected to the Cold War? Objective: Scholars will create illustrated timelines that show the events that led to the Vietnam war students will also be introduced to the different types of governments that exist in the world Tasks/Agenda: 1. Government An organization set up to make and enforce rules for a group of people. It enforces rules, provides services, and in most cases protects the rights of citizens.

Representative Government/ Parlimentary Citizens vote for people to represent their views. The Reps. Then go on to make laws. If the people get tired of the old representatives, they can vote for new ones. Ex. United States, France, England, Japan **Summarize this into one sentence in your notes******

Monarchy Government headed by a ruling family. The people don’t get any power System set up to control land and resources **Summarize into one sentence**

Oligarchy Small group of people who control the government. These people are usually very wealthy or have control of the military **Summarize into one sentence**
