Bob Marley and Pan-African Influenced by Marcus Garvey and Haile Selassie Garvey believed that blacks wanted their own country, and culture to be respected, as well as freedom. “when we say we are Rasta, we mean we seriously deal with Marcus Garvey, Haile Selassie seen…” His music and influence was seen in Bulgaria, North Africa, Zimbabwe and other countries.
