1. Learning Objectives: 1) To learn that people are different and that it ok have differences. 2) To learn to deal positively with the strength of their feelings in different situations/ towards different people. 3) To encourage open discussion on these topics

2. Starter: What differences are there between people and how do you know they are different. E.g. People come from different countries – we know this because they speak a different language.

3. Main: In pairs you are going to spend 3 lessons (including this one) putting together a presentation on diversity and culture. You can put it together however you like and about whoever you like BUT..... On the 4 th lesson you will be presenting it to the rest of your class/ your teacher will assess your presentation.

4. Include: Information about British culture and at least 2 other cultures. Explain the differences but also the similarities. You could include things like: Language, sports, school, clothing, family life, houses, food, music, dance....other areas of life. Make sure you write about the same things for each culture so you can compare them!
