3. Buffalo Soldiers
African American army regiments formed after the Civil War, most notable fought in the Frontier Wars. Usually comprised of freemen, former slaves, and Black Civil War Soldiers, these regiments were nicknamed “Buffalo Soldiers” as a sign of respect by the Native Americans.

Using pg. 399 of your book complete the maps and use pgs to complete the fill in the blank questions below.
Use to color to show the different forts, battles, reservation territory.
