Our goals today are to revise what we already know about multiple intelligences; use multiple intelligence activities to learn 7 key ingredients for a healthy brain; build a profile of the type of multiple intelligence activities that appeal to each of us personally and help us learn.

What does ‘multiple’ mean? What does ‘intelligence’ mean?

What does ‘preferences’ mean? Can I have more than one?

Using language, reading, writing, speaking, debating, creating, poetry, doing word puzzles, expressing ideas in words. People with strengths in Word Intelligence usually enjoy and may be good at reading, writing and telling stories, explaining things verbally and playing word games and puzzles.

Verbal Linguistic What sort of activities do we do in class that would appeal to someone with this learning preference? They may be good at goal setting and enjoy activities which further their understanding of themselves as individuals
