2 Personality Traits There are many different personality traits, but they are almost always two-fold, one is usually positive while the other is negative Honesty vs. Dishonesty Dependability vs. Unreliability Responsibility vs. Irresponsibility Integrity vs. Corruption Loyalty vs. Disloyalty What are some others?

3 Tactile/Kinesthetic - Feeling
Learning Styles There are three main learning styles: Tactile/Kinesthetic - Feeling Auditory - Hearing Visual - Seeing These three learning styles can then be broken down into eight learning preferences. Each preference can be a member of one or more learning styles.

5 The Linguistic Learner
“The Word Player” Like to: read, write, and tell stories Good at: memorizing names, dates, places, and trivia Learn best by: saying, hearing, and seeing words

6 The Logical/Mathematical Learner
“The Questioner” Like to: conduct experiments, figure things out, work with numbers, ask questions, explore patterns and relationships Good at: math, reasoning, logic, problem solving Learns best by: categorizing, classifying, working with abstract patterns and relationships

7 The Spatial Learner “The Visualizer”
Like to: draw, build, design and create, daydream, look at pictures, watch movies, play with machines Good at: Imagining, sensing things, mazes and puzzles, reading maps and charts Learns best by: Visualizing, dreaming, using the mind’s eye, working with color and pictures

8 The Musical Learner “The Music Lover”
Like to: sing, hum tunes, listen to music, play an instrument, respond to music Good at: picking up sounds, remembering melodies, noticing pitches and rhythms, keeping time Learns best by: rhythm, melody, music

9 The Body/Kinesthetic Learner
“The Mover” Like to: move around, touch and talk, use body language Good at: physical activities, sports, dancing, acting, crafts Learns best by: touching, moving, interacting with space, processing knowledge through body sensations

10 The Interpersonal Learner
“The Socializer” Like to: have lots of friends, talk to people, join groups Good at: understanding people, leading others, organizing, communicating, manipulating, mediating conflicts Learns best by: sharing, comparing, relating, cooperating, interviewing

11 The Intrapersonal Learner
“The Individual” Like to: work alone, pursue own interests Good at: understanding self, focusing inward on feelings and dreams, following instincts, pursuing interests and goals, being original Learns best by: working alone, individualized projects, self-paced instruction, having own space

12 The Naturalist “The Nature Lover”
Like to: physically experience nature, conduct observations, respond to patterning in nature Good at: exploring natural phenomena, seeing connections, seeing patterns, reflective thinking Learns best by: conducting observations, recording events in nature, working in pairs, long term projects

13 Personal Assessment Complete the 20 question Learning Style assessment to determine which of the three main learning styles you are most like. Then go to: And complete the 24 question Multiple Intelligences assessment to determine which of the eight learning preferences you are most like.
