1 MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE SELF-ASSESSMENT
Which question is more important: How smart are you? OR How are you smart? MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE SELF-ASSESSMENT For each statement, decide if the statement is "Not at all like me," "Not much like me," "Somewhat like me," or "Just like me." Write the number that describes you best in the box next to the statement. Then fill in your answers on the score card below. 1=Not at all like me 2=Not much like me 3=Somewhat like me 4=Just like me ____1.     I know and use as many words as-or more different words than-other people. ____2.     When it comes to arithmetic or math, I do as well or better than other people. ____3.     I can usually look at the parts of a machine and figure out how to put them together. ____4.     I almost always have a song going in my head. ____5.     I can throw at least one kind of small object (ball, dart,etc.) very accurately. ____6.     I like meeting people who are from different cultures, or who think differently from me. ____7.     I spend time trying to "make sense" of the world. ____8.     I like to understand and use words. ____9.     I like math story problems. ____10.   I am good at drawing picture. 4 Logical/Mathematical
“Number smart" people learn best through numbers, reasoning, and problem solving. They like to weigh, measure, calculate, and organize data. They are good at making analogies or debating an issue.

5 Verbal/Linguistic “Word smart" people learn best through language, such as speaking, writing, reading, and listening. They are able to explain, convince, and express themselves verbally or in writing. They enjoy writing and creating with words.

6 Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence
“Body smart" people use their whole body or parts of their body to solve a problem. They learn best through physical activity such as dance, hands-on tasks, constructing models, and any kind of movement.

7 Musical Intelligence “Music smart" people think in music; they notice and remember patterns. They learn best through sounds, e.g. songs, rhythms, patterns, etc.

8 Interpersonal Intelligence
“Social smart" people learn best through interaction with other people, e.g. discussions, cooperative work, social activities. They enjoy being part of a group. They can be excellent leaders.

9 Spatial Intelligence “Picture smart" people have the ability to represent the spatial world in their minds. They learn best visually. They like to think and create pictures.

10 Naturalist Intelligence
“Nature" people have sensitivity to the natural world. They see meanings and patterns in nature and the world around them. They learn best through interactions with the environment. e.g., outdoor activities, field trips, involvement with plants and animals.

11 Intrapersonal Intelligence
“Self smart" people have a good understanding of themselves; they know who they are, what they can do, and what they want to do. They are very good at concentrating and often prefer solitary activities. They learn best through self motivation and getting in touch with their feelings.
