Character Round: Many traits for the character are explored and described Dynamic: The character grows and changes—perhaps learning throughout the course of the story Flat: The character is not expanded upon. Few traits explored. Usually a minor character Static: The character does not grow and change throughout the course of the story
6. Figurative Language Language that is descriptive. Often using literary devices such as simile and metaphor to give the reader a better understanding of the scene, character, or idea.
7. Foreshadowing Clues the author gives in the story to give clues as to what will happen later in the plot.
15. Mood The emotion or feeling created by the author. Setting may contribute to this as does the description by the narrator.
16. Narrator The character or entity that tells the story
